Rehoboth Beach — Family Portraits

Windy hair, don’t care!! We definitely battled with the wind this morning but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the early morning beach sunshine.

There is something so special about including grandparents in a session. Just think that all of -this- happened because two people fell in love!

For those who don’t know, I am also a teacher! So during family sessions you’ll often find me doing silly tricks, making funny faces, playing games, and pulling all of the stops to get genuine smiles and giggles from the little ones. But the approach that works best for me during any session with little ones, is follow their lead. Sometimes they want to run around and play — buy into that by involving fun prompts like see how fast you can run and hug mommy!

Other times, you might have a little one who is slower to warm up to the lady stranger with the big camera. The littlest guy in this bunch wanted lots of snuggles and wasn’t ready to get down and play, so I followed his lead! We started the session with lots of pictures snuggling mom + dad and by the end he had warmed up enough to give lots of smiles and laughs!

Let’s just admit it — family pictures are always better at the beach! 🤪 Ready to play in the sand and splash around in the water together?! Let’s do it!
